The Commonwealth Government is reviewing the National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP) in consultation with stakeholders.
NDAP provides people living with disability with access to effective disability advocacy that promotes, protects and ensures their full and equal enjoyment of all human rights enabling community participation.
This review is part of an ongoing, continuous improvement and reform process that will result in a new NDAP delivering the best outcomes for those who need it most.
The Australian Governments wants to hear from all stakeholders including people living with disability, advocacy agencies, disability peaks, human rights organisations and the offices of public advocates and ombudsman, to find out what is and is not working in the current programme.
The discussion paper outlines the reasons for the review and includes questions to use as a guide when developing your response.
