Like all Australians, NDIS participants need access to affordable, appropriate and secure housing. The NDIS will offer many participants their first opportunity to plan to live more independently and to think about different housing options.
The Melbourne Housing Showcase will give people living with disability, their families and supporters an opportunity to hear about different housing and support models that are currently available and growing across Australia. The event will feature stories from people living with disability about how they made their housing choices, and presentations from not for profits, parent cooperatives, housing organisations and support providers. There will also be a small trade show with exhibitions from the presenters and other housing providers.
There will be no cost to attend the event.
