Speak Out Association recently hosted a two-day camp on the North West Coast of Tasmania at Camp Clayton for parents living with disability and their children. The group enjoyed a blend of educational and fun social activities coupled with challenging team building events focussing on planning and achieving goals. An NDIA planner came along and worked with the group on goal setting and preparing for planning.

The rock climbing proved to be popular and although it took some people outside of their typical comfort zone they were up for the challenge. CLICK HERE to see Geneveive on the giant swing!

As a result of the connections made at Camp Clayton there is now a newly formed Keeping Our Family’s Strong Peer Network underway as part of the DSO initiative.

A big thanks to Julie, Monty, Dominique and Jenny for all their time and effort given to get the new group up and running, thank you for transporting everyone to and from camp – it was great.
